SASTRA recently completed two high-impact cybersecurity training programs for 25 officers from the Ministry of Power, specifically designed to enhance their ability to defend critical infrastructure against modern cyber threats. Focusing on the energy sector, the programs addressed the unique challenges faced by such vital industries, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to tackle these challenges effectively.
The training covered essential topics such as network security, risk assessment, incident response, and advanced persistent threat defense strategies. With a mix of theoretical sessions and hands-on lab exercises, the participants gained a strong grasp of both foundational principles and practical skills, ensuring they were well-prepared to implement robust security measures in their operational environments. Real-world case studies and scenario-based simulations further enhanced their ability to respond to emerging threats in real time.
This initiative reflects SASTRA’s commitment to strengthening the nation’s cybersecurity framework. By empowering officers responsible for protecting critical infrastructure, the organization is playing a key role in safeguarding vital sectors against potential disruptions. The successful completion of these training programs reinforces SASTRA’s dedication to advancing the country’s resilience against evolving cyber threats, ensuring that the necessary expertise is in place to defend against future challenges.
